Kenton Boys 8th Basketball beats Elgin Local Schools 40 – 22

The Kenton Boys 8th grade basketball team defeated Elgin Tuesday night 40-22. It had been 3 weeks since their last game but they came out readyracing to a 15-6 1st quarter lead and never looking back.

For the Wildcats Xavier Gammon led the team with 12 points. Issac Gordon added 6. Layton Hijma 5, Parker Osborn, Zaidyn Wyomic, and Tanner Butcher all had 4, Kayne Bushong 3, and Kellen Good 2 points. Butcher and Gordon each had 4 rebounds, while Bushong, Gammon, and Good grabbed 3. Parker had 3 assists while Gordon and Gammon both added 2. Gordon and Wyomic both had 3 steals, Gammon, Parker and Hijma all had 2 each. The Wildcats return to action Thursday at Lima West.
