The Wildcats lose their fifth one run game on the season on Thursday evening at Marion Pleasant.
Pleasant took the lead 2-0 in the 2nd inning but the Wildcats answered with 3 of their own in the 3rd inning. The game then went back and forth when Marion scored 1 in the 4th and 5th innings and 3 in the 6th inning. Kenton scored 2 in the 5th and added 1 in the 7th but the comeback fell short.
Starting pitcher for the Wildcats was Kade Smith going 5.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 7 BB, 8 K’s, pitching in relief was Seth Leffler 1.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 K.
