Kenton Girls Varsity Soccer beats Van Buren 2 – 0

In a dominating fasion, the Kenton High School Girls Soccer Team beat Van Buren 2-0 in their second preseason scrimmage. The Wildcats had several chances during the first half but were unable to find the back of the net, while their Defense stood strong. They continued putting pressure on the visitors in the second half and after a ball was placed over the defense, Freshman, Ellie Minter was able to find the back of the net off of a pass from Senior Kinze Sprang, putting the Wildcats up 1-0. Just over one minute later, Senior Kyla Bostater slipped a pass across the middle to Sprang where she found the back of the net from 25 yards out to put the Wildcats up 2-0. The Wildcats will travel Tiffin on Tuesday, August 13th at 6pm to close out their preseason matches.

As a reminder, the boys and girls Alumni Games will be held on Saturday, August 10th. The girls will start at 5pm with the boys following that game.
