The Kenton Wildcats lost to St. Marys 6-0 in their Section Semifinal game tonight. The Wildcats went down 1-0 with just over 26 minutes left in the first half when St. Marys star player and WBL First Team Aerial Fast found the back of the net. Kenton’s Kinze Sprang nearly tied the game when she struck the cross bar minutes later from outside of the 18 yd box. Kenton’s defense held strong and was able to hold on to a 2-0 deficit going into halftime.

Despite the strong defensive performance, St. Marys extended their lead in the second half to the final of 6-0.

Kenton had a strong defensive showing as St. Marys put 15 shots on goal. Ruby Styer recorded 10 saves on the night. Sprang had several chances on goal from a distance in the final 10 minutes of the second half.

The Wildcats would like to thank everyone for their support this season and wish the best of luck to our Senior, Angel Forester.
