Kenton Girls Varsity Softball beats Elida 7 – 6

Kenton Varsity Wildcats took Wednesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Elida.

Butler collected 3 hits in 4 at bats in the win. Butler doubled in the 7th inning, singled in the 5th inning, and singled in the 3rd. They got on the board in the bottom of the 1st after Riley Totten singled, and Elida committed an eror, each scoring 1 run. In the 4th inning Brailyn Thacker singled to score 2. 

Elida jumped into the lead in the top of the 5th and the Wildcats responded with taking the lead in the bottom of the 5th. The Bulldogs then tied things up in the top of the 6th. Butler scored Totten with a walk off single to end the game. 

Butler and Totten were a force together in the lineup as they each collecteed 3 hits on the evening. Emily pees and Brailyn Thacker both collected 2 hits. Emori Criner and Brayla Butler had 1 hit each on the night. With a 12 hit combined offense the Wildcats rallied past the Bulldogs for a WBL win!
