Kenton Girls Varsity Softball beats Van Wert 6 – 4

Riley Totten collected three hits in 3 at bats, as the Wildcats defeated Van Wert. Totten hit a solo home run to center field in the third inning, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the first. 

Macee Heckathorn drew a walk in the 1st scoring one run. Then Van Wert scored to bring the score 1-1 in the top of the 3rd. Totten’s home run gave the Wildcats another run in the bottom of the 3rd making it 2-1. Van Wert then took the lead in the top of the 4th, 3-1. 

The game was tied at 4 in the bottom of the 5th with the double by Totten and a single by Brynn Butler. In the bottom of the 6th Cailyn Brown singled, scoring 2 runs. Leaving the final score 6-4.

Brynn butler had 2 hits with 1 RBI, Cailyn Brown had 1 with 2 RBI’s, Emily Pees with 1 hit, and Brayla Butler with 1 hit. The girls take on Wapak tonight for their senior night at 5:30!
