Wildcat volleyball traveled to Shelby to battle Ontario in sectional finals. Kenton came out on top after 4 hard fought sets, 25-20, 25-23, 22-25 & 25-18.
Leading scoring was Cailyn Hopkins with 14 points and 4 aces, followed by Morgan Lyons 10 points/4 aces, Brayla Butler 11 points/2 aces, Macee Heckathorn 8 points/3 aces, Sadie Larrabee 5 pts/1 aces and Emori Criner 5 points. Teams served seasons high 97% behind the line.
Rounding out the rest for the impressive stats:
Larabee had 16 kills, 8 blocks and 11 digs.
Hopkins added 8 kills, 17 receptions, 2 blocks and 19 digs.
Heckathorn tallied 5 kills, 22 receptions, 6 blocks and 19 digs.
Lyons scored 7 kills, 4 blocks, 29 assists and 9 digs.
Emori Criner contributed 14 receptions and 9 digs.
Brayla Butler had 9 receptions and 11 digs
Sidney Payne added 5 kills, 6 blocks and 2 digs.
Kenton will travel to Riverdale Tuesday to compete in the district semi finals.
