Late Surge Lifts Coldwater Past Riverdale 42-40

The Coldwater Cavaliers used a late 9-2 run to edge past Riverdale 42-40 in Division III boys basketball sectional championship action Saturday at Miller City.

The Cavaliers even their record at 12-12 and move to district tournament action. The Falcons finish their campaign at 16-8.

Noah Miller scored 9 points to lead Coldwater.

Riverdale got 17 points from Max Morris whole Logan Frey added 11 points.
