Obituary for Beverly J. Romick

Beverly J. Romick, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her home in Alger.  

She was born on February 17, 1937 in Hardin County, Ohio to Richard Clayton and Annabelle (Price) Hetrick.  Her father, Richard Clayton, died in 1938.  Her mother, Annabelle later married James Oliver Orders who adopted Beverly and her sister.  Her mother, Annabelle, preceded her in death in 2004 and her father, James, preceded her in 1986.  On December 16, 1955 Beverly married Clair Duane Romick.  He preceded her in death on February 28, 2022.

Beverly was an exceptional homemaker, seamstress, wife and mother.  She loved serving her community.  She was an active member of the Ada Junior Civic League, Amvets Ladies Auxiliary, Post 21 Findlay, she was a life member of the Ada VFW, Post 9381 Auxiliary, and the National Home for Children and Veterans in Eaton Rapids, MI.  Beverly was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, Findlay, where she volunteered in the nursery.  When her children were younger, she was a leader of Blue Bird girls and Camp Fire girls, as well as a McComb area 4-H advisor.  As her children grew older, she began work at the Consolidated Biscuit Co.  She was a loyal 25-year employee.  She cherished the friendships and memories gained through those 25 years. 

She is survived by her three children: Kimberly (Rick) Bentz of Wellsville, PA, Abby (Greg) George of Findlay, and Roland (Rody) Romick of McComb; eleven grandchildren; as well as, 15 great-grandchildren. 

Beverly was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Klingler. 

Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Rev. Jack Duffy officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.  

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, May 7th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.        

Memorial contributions may be made to St Rita’s Hospice of Ohio, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or First Baptist Church of Ada.
