Donald “Don” Kinnear, Jr., 79 of Kenton passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at his residence.
He was born in Kenton on October 28, 1939 to the late Donald “Doc” and Dorothy (Curtis) Kinnear. Don married Delores “Dee” Bailey on April 8, 1990 and she survives along with two children; Donna Jean (Bob) Seligman of San Diego, CA, Michael (Shannon) Wilson of Kenton, four grandchildren; Chad Seligman, Megan Wilson, Courtney Wilson, Haylie Wilson, sister, Carole (George) Guider of Painsville, sister-in-law Laura Kinnear and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Lee Kinnear and a brother, Keith Kinnear. He was a 1957 graduate of Kenton High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
Don was the owner/operator of K&W Machining for many years. He loved to play cards and was a square dance caller for 50 years. He also enjoyed western movies and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation for Don will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mary Curtis. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. The family requests friends come wearing casual attire. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Don to Kindred Hospice.
