Obituary for James Daniel Moore

A visitation for James Daniel Moore will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M on Monday, March 22, 2021, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed.

James died on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on June 25, 1934 in Marion to the late William “Dub” and Mary (Struble) Moore.

He married Marylin Rodabaugh on December 26, 1956 and she survives in Mt. Victory. Also surviving are sons Michael J. Moore of Mt. Victory, Timothy (Terri) Moore of Mt. Victory, and Randall (Cheryl) Moore of Ridgeway, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Denman and Julia Foreman and grandson Jamey Moore.

James was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for Whirlpool in Marion for over 40 years before retiring.

James was active in the Hardin County community. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 428, Amvets Post 1994, and Eagles Lodge 2163, as well as being a volunteer for the Mt. Victory Fire Department, where he was an assistant chief. He enjoyed being outside going camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking and playing horseshoes with his sons.
