James stepped into glory early morning of July 17, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Services will be conducted by Rev. David Robertson and Rev. Dennis Burns on Saturday, July 20 at Faith Baptist Church, 402 E Forest Rd, Kenton, Ohio, at 11am, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at York Cemetery, York Center, Ohio with Military Graveside Rites by Amvets Post 1994. Visitation will also be held Friday evening July 19 at Price Funeral home from 6-8pm.
James was born March 4, 1938 in Union county Ohio to the late George E. and Elizabeth D Heizer.
He was proceeded in death by brothers George M, and Kenneth Heizer and sisters, Eleanor Butler, Anna Schmelzer, Dora Woods, and Mary Wagner.
He was also proceeded in death by step son Dan Hess and a step great grandson, Matty Cox
May 25, 1985 James married Anna Hess and she survives along with brothers Pearl (Gaile) of Tennessee, Robert (Flo) of the Dayton area, Fred of Columbus Ohio and Tom (Ellen) of West Mansfield Ohio and one sister, Phyllis (Raleigh) Oliver of Bellefontaine, along with many nieces and nephews.
Also survived by two step children, Becky (J.R.) Cronkleton of Middleburg, Ohio and Jack (Christina) Hess of Plain City Ohio. Four step grandsons.
James was a graduate of Byhalia High School and served his country in the US Marine Corp. from 1957 thru 1961.
James was a retiree of Rockwell of Kenton.
He was also a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church Youth programs.
