Janet Marker, age 77, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away Saturday evening, December 14, 2019 at Campbell Place in Bellefontaine.
Janet was born in Champaign County Ohio June 15, 1942, to the late Orval & Margaret (Couchman) Marker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Marker and sisters Sandra Marker, Betty Hoyng, and Janet’s twin, Jeanette Marker.
Janet is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a sister-in-law, Georgia Marker of Lakeview, Ohio.
Janet was a retired teacher, having taught for thirty years in the Bellefontaine City School system. She was a 1969 graduate of Asbury College and a 1981 graduate of Wright State University where she obtained her Master’s degree in Education. Janet was a volunteer in the gift shop at the Logan County Friendly Senior Center. She enjoyed art, especially watercolor painting and tole painting. Locally, she was the co-founder of the American Association of University Women.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate Janet’s funeral service Wednesday, December 18, 20019 at 12 noon at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
Burial will be at the Huntsville Cemetery in Huntsville, Ohio.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
