Obituary for Jerry F. Smith

Jerry F. Smith, 61 of Kenton passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 30, 1960 to the late Franklin and Eilenne (Baughman) Smith. He married Sondra Joslin on June 11, 1988.  She survives him with their two sons Jacob (Erika) Smith and Caleb (Jessica) Smith.  Also surviving is his sister Deb (Robert) Howe and half-sisters Kristol Shadbolt and Renee Smith along with many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by a brother Floyd “Bud” Smith, a sister Zenda Rice.  Jerry worked as a carpenter and loved to work with his hands. He truly loved to build things.  He also worked for International Paper and Graphic Packaging for thirteen years.  He loved Ohio State University, the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed bowling.  He also enjoyed fishing and going to his quiet place at the quarry.  He was a member of the Kenton Moose and the Kenton Eagles Lodge #2163.  His sarcastic sense of humor will truly be missed by his family and friends.  There will be a private graveside service held at Fairview Cemetery Belle Center, Ohio Friday, October 15, 2021.  In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be sent to the Red Cross.  Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting stoutcrates.com.
