Kathryn J. Snider age 96 of Forest, passed away on Monday July 15, 2024 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 19, 1928 in Forest to Lloyd V. and Mildred E. (Wilcox) Curtin. She married Harold “Skinny” Wright in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1952. She married Burton E. Snider on November 23, 1955 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1974.
Kathryn is survived by her children; Sandy Thacker of Bradenton, FL, Michael (Vicki) Snider of Mt. Blanchard, grandchildren; Mark Smith, David (Adena) Smith, Ryan (Darlene) Thacker, Todd Wright, Brad (Mary Kay) Wright, Katie (Bryan) Crabtree, Tony (Carolyn) Snider, great grandchildren; Samantha Smith, Cassie Smith, Kyle Smith, Joshua Smith, Andy Smith, Nolan Thacker, Rawley Thacker, Danielle Stansberry, Lainie Wright, Madison Coomer, Elias Wright, Evan Wright, Logan Wright, Elli Crabtree, Ava Crabtree, Theo Crabtree, Julia Snider, sister; Jennie (Burl) Hemmerly, daughter -in-law Theresa Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Ted Wright, brothers; Jack and his wife Ann Curtin and William Curtin.
Kathryn retired from Jackson Twp. Hardin Co. as Clerk and from Riverdale School System as Assist Treasurer. She and her husband Burton owned Forest Lumber and Supply. Kathryn also worked for Forest Community Bank for 17 years.
She was an active life member of Forest United Methodist Church. Kathryn was a member Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, 4-H advisor and leader of Forest Stitch and Stir. She was honored as Grand Marshall in the Forest Parade. Kathryn volunteered at Kenton Hospital for many years.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 11am in Clark Shields Funeral Home with Pastor Christopher Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in Hueston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Forest United Methodist Church in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 301 S.
