Obituary For Katy Gammon

Katy Gammon, 66 of Belle Center passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.

She was born in Salyersville, KY on April 18, 1953 to the late E.R. and Pauline Wisecup. Katy married Harold W. Gammon on November 1, 1969 and he survives along with five children; Harold (DeeDee) Gammon, Jr, Harlan

(Tonya) Gammon, Rae Jean Gammon, Scot (Danielle) Gammon and Barney

(Michelle) Gammon.  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She helped to raise her oldest grandson, Dean Gammon.  She enjoyed family get togethers, playing cards, knitting, and fishing with the family. She would save all her money so she could take her family on vacations, and loved going to Kentucky to visit family. Many trips to zoos, deer parks, Sea World, King’s Island, and Cedar Point.

Always up for a good laugh, and downright ornery at times she will always be remembered as tough as nails. Although she was shorter than 5ft, she was larger than life. She always made the best Banana Pudding, and made sure everybody got to try it! Most of all she loved being anywhere with Harold! She will be deeply missed by family and friends. A Celebration of Katy’s Life will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Kenton Moose Lodge #428.  The Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Katy to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
