Kevin K. Giles age 74 of LaRue, died at his residence on May 1, 2024. He was born on Jan. 21, 1950 in Marion to the late Durwered E. and Donna M. (Almendinger) Giles. He married Kathy Stansbery on Oct. 2, 1976 and she survives along with a son Jason K. Giles, Upper Sandusky, grandsons, Kristian, Gaige, Jaycub Giles, a brother Kim Giles, Tipp City, mother-in-law Hilda Stansbery, Xenia, a niece Carrie (Nicholas) LaMont, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother Scott Giles.
Kevin was a veteran of the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was a line inspector for Tecumseh Products for 16 years and was a former member of the American Legion. His enjoyments were camping, fishing, gardening and watching wrestling. Kevin adored his companion dog Annabelle. He loved glazed, jelly donuts and was known as the “Donut Man.” Kevin was strong- willed, reliable, trustworthy and honest.
A graveside service with full military honors by McVitty VFW Post #1182, American Legion Post #259 and AmVets Post #1994 will be held on Fri. May 3, 2024 at 1:30PM in the Jackson Center Cemetery with Pastor Mary Curtis officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Kenton American Legion or Tranquility Hospice in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S. Patterson St. Forest, OH 45843.
