Larry Paul Lawrence, 66, of Forest, passed away Thursday, May 18,2023,
at home with his family.
He was born August 13, 1956 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Dorothy (VanBuskirk)
Thacker and the late Robert Lawrence. He was a 1975 graduate of Riverdale High
School. He married Betty Edgington on August 16, 1975 and they shared 34 years
together. Betty preceded him in death on March 23,2009. Larry was lovingly
devoted to Betty until the end of his life. He was also preceded in death by his
stepfather, Norman Thacker.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lawrence, and by his son,
Michael (Cristina) Lawrence. He was a loving grandfather to Vinnie,
Joey, Jacob, Katie, Elliot and Lucas. He is also survived by sisters Carol
(Duane) Gibson, Bobbie (Roger) Brauneller, Beverly (Dennis) Huffman,
Kristi (Bruce) Borges and brothers Shaun (Kristie) Thacker, Dennis (Jill)
Thacker, Rodney Thacker and Kris (Tracey) Thacker. He is also
survived by his stepmother Sherry Lawrence. Larry leaves behind a
large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Larry worked in the plumbing trade and was employed for many years.

Bluffton. Larry was gifted mechanically, a hard worker and enjoyed.
solving problems. He was well known for lending a hand to many family
members and friends. He had a quick wit and enjoyed sharing a joke
and bringing smiles when they were needed. He enjoyed driving and
working on his 1971 Chevrolet truck. What Larry loved most was to
spend time and talk to his children and grandchildren. He loved his
family and his family loved him.
The family would like to extend thanks to Dr Hucek and the staff of
Promedica Hospice for providing excellent coordination and care at the
end of Larry’s time with us, especially to Case Manager Joe Gamble RN,
Michelle Adams LPN, Margaret Hughes PCMP, and Michelle Kuba PCM.
Family and friends will be notified of memorial arrangements at a later
date. Memorials may be made to the family or to Promedica Hospice of Marion
