Funeral services for Lawrence “Sonny” Pitt will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Following the services, Sonny will be cremated and burial at Otterbein Cemetery will take place at a later date. 

Sonny passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at his residence. He was born on January 22, 1938, in New California, Ohio to the late Lawrence Pitt and Lucille (Estep) Bright. He married Linda Kirkpatrick on February 16, 1974, and she survives in Mt. Victory.

Also surviving are 4 sons; John (Robin) Babbs of Cornelius, North Carolina, Eddie (Lynda) Pitt of Grant, Robert Pitt of Kenton, Jason Pitt of Mt. Victory, brother, William (Harriet) Pitt of Marysville, sister, Mary Ralph of Winchester, Indiana, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Lawrence Bright, brother-in-law, Nile Ralph, 5 siblings, Rudy Cole, Bonnie Wallace, Gene Bright, Tom Bright, and Don Bright.

Sonny is a U.S. Army Veteran.

He worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Marysville and was a former member of the Kenton Eagles and Moose.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing Euchre, Poker and Bingo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sonny’s honor may be made to Not By Choice.
