Funeral Services for Linda S. Combs will be held at 5:00 P.M. Thursday, October 3, 2019 at The Price – McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Friends and family may visit from 2:00 P.M. till 5:00P.M. Thursday, October 3, 2019.
She died on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at her residence. She was born on December 6, 1945 in Kenton to the late Oliver and Irene (Gibson) Shepherd. On October 2, 1965 she married Orville “Ray” Combs and he survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are 2 daughters; Nancy (Roger) Pahl of Forest and Paula (Tom) Owens of California. 1 daughter-in-law; Kim Combs of Dunkirk. 1 son; Jack (Lisa) Combs of California. 1 sister; Angela (Steve) Paugh of Dunkirk. 2 brothers; Rex Shepherd of Kentucky and Randy Shepherd of Dunkirk. 4 Grandchildren; Tyler (Joy) Combs of Florida, Jennifer Pahl of Dunkirk, Jessica (Trevor) McCall of Forest and Jaclyn Pahl of Forest. 1 Great Grandchild; Colton McCall. Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son; Kenny Combs and a brother; Ronnie Shepherd.
Linda was attending the Grace United Methodist Church in Dunkirk. She was active in helping with the church’s community group at the Dunkirk Community Center. Helping people was a true passion for Linda. She loved to talk and visit with people, and see how she could help them in any way. When she wasn’t at the community center she enjoyed reading and collecting Longaberger Baskets.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Dunkirk or the Dunkirk Community Center.
