Funeral Services for Mildred R. Wilson will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at The Price – McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Doug Flinn officiating. Burial will follow in Dola Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Monday July 1, 2019 at the funeral home.

She died on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Hardin Hills Health Center. She was born on September 23, 1921 in Hardin Co. to the late Harry M. and Ruth M. (Guider) Steiner. On February 6, 1943 she married Donald Wilson and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2000.

Surviving are 2 daughters; Nancy (Carlton) Musselman of Kenton and Beverly (Ed) Bahr of Kenton. 1 daughter-in-law; Dawn Wilson. 1 son; Jeff (Lori) Wilson of Dola. 8 Grandchildren; Bret (Amy) Bahr, Kim (Bruce Paul) Bahr, Amy (John) Cahill, Staci Musselman, Wes (Andrea) Wilson, Brandi (Dan) Kemmere, Brian Wilson and Allison Wilson. 9 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son; Ted Wilson, Brother Robert Steiner and 2 sisters; Martha Casper and Wilma Hansen.

Mildred was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. She raised her family and helped on the farm, especially when its came to making repairs to the equipment.

She was an active member of the Walnut Grove Church, where she was involved with Ladies Aid, Mission Society, was a Sunday School Teacher and the Sunday School Treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Goshen Grange for many years as well as the mothers club group Grove 20CCL.

When she wasn’t at the church or helping on the farm, Mildred enjoyed doing aqua sizing at the YMCA. She also enjoyed crochet, quilting, and making noodles, cinnamon rolls, and angel food cakes.

Family has requested no flowers be sent, but instead memorial donations may be made to the Walnut Grove Church.
