Rex L. Gallant, 66 of Forest passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. He was born in Kenton, Ohio on March 22, 1958, to the late Robert and Glenna P (Rodabaugh) Gallant. Rex married Cheryl Kay Whitman on November 6, 1976, and she survives along with two daughters; Jennifer K. (Eric) Nelson of Gahanna and Rita R. (Brandon) King of McComb. He is also survived by a brother, Richard A. (Barbara) Gallant of Charlevoix, MI, sisters; Janet A. (Leonard) Wilson, Judy A. (John) Klingler, Joyce M. (John) Fickel, Jill E. (Tom) Drake and Roberta J. (Timothy-Deceased) Glasco all of Lima. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy D. Gallant. Rex was a 1976 graduate of Riverdale High School. He worked at the Arlington Elevator for 20 years before starting his own business, RC Repair Shop. Rex loved woodworking, fishing and spending time outdoors with his family. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. A funeral service for Rex will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ken Drumm officiating. Burial will follow in Williamstown Cemetery.
