Obituary for Ruth Ann Inbody

Ruth Ann Inbody, 84 of rural Jenera passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at her residence.  She was born in Findlay, Ohio on June 8, 1940, to the late Clarence O. and Eva Gertrude (Brauneller) Walters.  On November 6, 1959, she married Larry Dean Inbody and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2018.  Ruth is survived by her children: Julie (Rob) Logan of Mansfield, David (Donna) Inbody of Jenera, Jodi (Jerry) Siefker of Glandorf, Carrie (Matt) Calvelage of Ft. Jennings, Amy Inbody of Findlay, Heather (Luke) Rohrs of Liberty Center and Heidi (Brian) Calvelage of Ft. Jennings.  She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Geraldine Waldman of Findlay.  In addition to her parents and husband Larry, Ruth is preceded in death by 2 great-grandchildren and her brother-in law, Marlin Waldman. She was a 1958 graduate of Arlington High School and a long-time member of Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington.  Ruth was active in 4-H as an advisor and was inducted into the Henry County 4-H Hall of Fame.  She was also a 27 year volunteer at the Hamler Summer Fest.  Ruth was a member of the Hancock County Sheep Improvement Association, the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association, the Ohio Dorset Sheep Association and the Ohio Hampshire Swine Association.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening and mowing her lawn.  Most of all she was the biggest cheerleader for her kids, grandkids and great grandkids as she always followed their activities in person or virtually. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Good Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Pastor Steve Ramsey will officiate, and burial will follow in Keller Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ruth to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Hancock County 4-H Endowment or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
