Services for Tammy Jo Wright will be private. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tammy died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at The OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. She was born on March 18, 1967 in Kenton to James and Jeri Lynne (Morris) Hites whom survive in Kenton. She married Douglas Wright on September 14, 1991and he survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 2 daughters; Sara Wright of San Diego, Shea Wright of Oak Harbor, WA, a son; Seth Wright of Kenton, a sister; Wendy Bristoll of Kenton, a brother; Jimmy (Lisa) Hites of Alger and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tammy was a 1985 Kenton High School graduate. She was employed at Siemens in Bellefontaine for 15 years. She then went to Graphic Packaging in Kenton for 10 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church Vocal.

Tammy was an avid golfer. She was a member of the Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton where she was a 2 time green jacket winner of the Masters Tournament as well as a previous club champion. She also volunteered for the “Tee Off For The Cure” golf outing at the course to help raise money for breast cancer awareness.

When she wasn’t playing golf, Tammy enjoyed traveling with and visiting her daughters. She also enjoyed trying new foods and watching Turner Classic Movies.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tee Off For The Cure or the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center.
