Funeral services for Thomas E. Murphy will be held at 1.00 P.M. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the funeral.

Thomas died on June 5, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 8, 1936 in Lima, Ohio to the late Earl and Hope (Haines) Murphy. He married Diane (Fancher) and she  survives in Kenton.  

Also surviving are 2 daughters, Tammy Arzberger of Middleburg, Ohio and Kim Sherwood of Kenton, 2 sons, Casey and Wesley Sherwood both of Kenton, 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren with 2 on the way.

He was preceded in death by 1 son, Tommy Murphy and a brother, Ken.

Thomas retired after 26 years in the Marine Corp. at the rank of Master Sergeant and served 4 tours in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the Silver Star.

He loved horse racing and telling war stories.
