Obituary for Wendell N. Harris

Wendell N. Harris age 78, of Kenton, formerly of Fostoria, died in the emergency room at Hardin Memorial Hospital on Thurs. July 18, 2019. He was born on Feb. 9, 1941 in Lawrence Co. to the late Delbert and Alma Mae (Scott) Harris. He married Connie Young on April 6, 2015 and she survives in Kenton.

He is survived by 4 sons Wendell Young, Toledo, Jason Young, Kenton, George Harris, Fostoria, and Wendell Harris, Fostoria, step children Terry Johnson, Becky Johnson, Joe Johnson, Warren Johnson, sisters Tan Ford, and Micky Harris. He is preceded in death by brothers Virgil “Skippy” Harris, Gary Harris, Morris Harris, Luke Harris, and a sister Katherine Harris.

Mr. Harris was employed by General Dynamics Foundry. He enjoyed gathering around bonfires with his friends, fishing, and was fond of being around children.

A graveside service will be held at Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria on Mon. July 22, 2019 at 1 PM with Pastor Dennis Livingston officiating. Visitation will be held on Mon. July 22, 2019 from 10 AM- Noon at Clark Shields Funeral Home.
