Zola Garnet Oliver, 87, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away peacefully at The Legacy in Findlay on November 7, 2024. She had resided there since April of this year.

Born on July 1, 1937, in Pike County, Ohio, to William and Zetta (Nickell) (both deceased), Zola graduated from Dola High School in 1955. On May 7, 1960, she married Kenneth Oliver of Marseilles, Ohio, and together they made their home in Dunkirk, Ohio. Kenneth preceded her in death.

Garnet was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Darrell) Buroker of Bluffton, OH, Randall (Heather) Oliver of Ridgeway, OH, Cynthia (Dewayne) Weaver of Bluffton, OH. She also leaves behind a loving legacy of grandchildren: Lindsay (Les) Rubin of Sarasota, FL, Maegan (Daniel) Sommers of Bluffton, OH, Brittany (Jonathan) Lewis, Bluffton, OH, Raechel (Justin) Noble of Ridgeway, OH, Jenna Buroker of Bluffton, OH, Paige Buroker of Bluffton, OH, Derrick (Kyle) Oliver of Covington, KY, Leslie Oliver of Hicksville, OH, Kuert Lautenschlager of Marysville, OH, Gabriella Weaver of Columbus, OH and Jacob Weaver of Bluffton, OH as well as 14 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy: Gavin, Harper, Lily, and Liam Rubin; Wesley, Josephine, Caleb, and Amelia Sommers, Elliana and Quinn Lewis, Alina, Jackson, Grant and Jameson Noble.

Garnet attended Ada Full Gospel Church for many years, where she found deep connection and spiritual strength. Known for her love of family, she treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, often attending their sporting events and celebrations. A skilled cook, Garnet loved preparing family meals and enjoyed playing games with loved ones. She was an avid reader of the Bible and a prayer warrior, always willing to lift others in prayer. Garnet’s warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched all who knew her. She was a true people person-someone who loved to talk, pray, and make others laugh. Above all, she will be remembered for her loving, nurturing spirit and her unwavering devotion to her family.

A visitation will be held at Ada Full Gospel Church in Ada, Ohio on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. The burial will take place at the Dunkirk cemetery. Meal will follow the burial at the Ada Full Gospel Church. Services have been entrusted to CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington.
