Seven different Wildcats score in 13-0 win over Van Wert

The Kenton Wildcats earned their first win of the season tonight when they beat Van Wert, 13-0, on Senior night. 

Kinze Sprang got the scoring started just over 2 minutes into the match when she placed a 30 yard shot into the top right of the goal just out of the reach of the Van Wert Keepers hands. Emma Hougendobler recorded her first of two goals at the 28:45 mark in the 1st half when she also scored from 30 yards out. Just over 5 minutes later, Sprang netted her second goal of the match when she followed up a shot by Reese McKinniss that bounced off of the post. 

Near the 19:00 mark, Sprang hit a 40 yard right footed shot that ended in the back of the net for her third goal of the evening. With just about 10:00 left in the first half, McKinniss joined the scroing as she placed one in the back of the net from 30 yards out. Hougendobler scored her second goal of the match when she rifled a shot from the top of the 18 yard box that ended up in the back of the net. Kyla Bostater finished the first half scoring when she socred with just under 25 seconds left in the half off of an assist from McKinniss.

Kenton came out shooting in the second half by scoring 6 more goals. One each by Chloe Hatery, Kyla Bostater, Kinze Sprang, Addy Haudenschield, Shelby Miller, and the final goal was an own goal by Van Wert off of a well placed corner kick by McKinniss.

Several other Wildcats had shots on goald and Ruby Styer recorded 2 saves in goal on the evening.

The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday, October 10th when they travel to Shawnee.
