Shawnee Pulls Away From Kenton

Unbeaten Shawnee pulled away in the second half to defeat the Kenton Wildcats 67-41 in Western Buckeye League boys basketball play Friday at Lappin Gymnasium.

The Indians (18-0 overall, 7-0 WBL) and the Wildcats (11-8, 5-2) were tied at 34-all early in the third quarter, but Shawnee used a 21-2 run over the rest of the third period to break the game open.

George Mangas had 33 points to lead Shawnee, scoring his 1,000th career point in the process.

Bryce Ellis scored 10 points to pace Kenton and was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.
