The Trophy Bassmasters spent this past Sunday with a trip to Alum Creek north of Columbus.

Alum has not produced great results for the club over the years but Sunday was the exception. A total of 65 keeper bass of at least 12” were brought in by the 18 anglers with a combined weight of 105.61lbs. The top weight was brought in by Glen Cronley who landed 5 largemouth bass. Cronley had a solid weight of 10.77lbs for the win. Bert Grubbs also caught 5 largemouth. Grubbs had a weight of 9.54lbs for 2nd place. Just 3oz behind in 3rd place was Virgil Grant with 9.37lbs in 5 largemouth.

There were several nice smallmouth bass caught during the day but the largest by far was landed by Dave Morlock.  A 4.90lb brownie earned Morlock the big bass of the day. Check out the complete results at www.trophybass.org.

Don Ratcliff continues to lead the Angler of the year point race but Bert Grubbs closed the gap with his performance on Alum.
