Van Buren Takes Home A Victory In OT Thriller with Riverdale

Van Buren traveled to take on Riverdale in a thrilling girls high school basketball matchup. Van Buren held a large lead for most of the game but the Falcons started the 4th quarter hot and cut that lead to three while holding the Knights scoreless until 2:50 was remaining in the quarter. Van Buren was held to four points toatal in the final quarter of regulation and the Falcons were able to send it to overtime on a last second step back jumper from Mariah Bonham. Despite the fight from Riverdale, Van Buren was able to head home with a victory.
