Kenton defeated Bath in the Battle of Wildcats at Merold Field on Tuesday night by a final score of 4-3.  Kenton improves to 5-2-1 (2-1 WBL) with the victory.  Gus Wingfield scored the game winning goal with 1:03 left in the game as Steven Piper threaded him a great ball!

Kenton struck first in the game as Micah Bowman sent Marlon Lopez who scored to make it 1-0 24 minutes in the contest.  Bath answered a little over a minute later with a free kick goal from distance.  The score was tied at halftime.  In the 2nd half Troy Brown scored on a shot from half field to give the Cats a 2-1 lead 5 minutes into the 2nd half.  20 minutes later Chris Villa fed Marlon Lopez for his 2nd tally of night and a 3-1 lead.  Bath would score 2 goals to tie the game in the next 5 minutes which then set the theatrics for Gus Wingfields’ late game heroics.  Kenton outshot Bath 10-5 in the contest and MJ Coulson had 2 saves in goal.
