COLUMBUS (May 3, 2023) – The 2023 Aging Eye Summit will take place on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 9:00 a.m.1:00 p.m. in person at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and on-line. Registration is free and open to the public. The Summit will focus on current research, promoting understanding, early detection, and treatment of eye diseases as well low vision support and resources.
The Aging Eye Summit, which is open to the public, is targeted to public health and rehabilitation professionals, patients, aging network professionals, clinicians, researchers, social workers, students, and others interested in vision related issues.
Topics include:
What is new in research and clinical care of the lens and the retina including development and regeneration
Aging eye diseases including cataract, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration
Low vision resources and other resources
Providing support to older adults with eye disease and low vision
