The Hardin County Astronomy Club is inviting the public to a Perseid Meteor Shower Watch Party on Friday, August 15 at 9 p.m.

The event will be held at the Lake Idlewild property, located just north of Kenton at 9627 US-68.

Club members will have telescopes set up for public use and will offer guidance on spotting meteors and other celestial objects. Attendees are welcome to bring their own telescopes or binoculars.

Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring camp chairs, blankets, bug spray, flashlights, and drinks, as the event is outdoors. Signage will be posted at the entrance to help locate the long driveway.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to Saturday, August 16.
