Richard W. Flowers
October 1, 1939 – August 12, 2025

Richard (Dick) W. Flowers age 85 of Forest, peacefully passed at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay on Aug. 12, 2025. He was born on Oct. 1, 1939 in Pontiac, MI to the late Otto and Annabelle (Boroff) Flowers.

He married Janice Lamb and they later divorced. He is survived by a son Gregg Flowers and a daughter Beverly Bowen, both of Findlay, grandchildren Dustin Flowers, Shaina (Brennan) Baeder, Jen (Jason) Hutton, Dan (Kaylee) Shuck, Bryan (Jenna) Shuck, great grandchildren Tessa, Callie, Brant, Brody, Evan, Jace, Ella, Nora, Dempsey, Bexley and Wrenley. He is preceded in death by a sister Pat Parsell.

Dick was a 1957 graduate of Forest High School and worked at Rockwell in Kenton for over 40 years. During his active years, he enjoyed pheasant hunting with Lady Joker, his faithful German short-haired pointer. Fishing at Lake Erie, camping with friends/family, and hunting Indian relics was time well spent.

He embodied an endless appreciation for harvesting the land through farming and attending to an abundant garden of fresh produce that fueled his family. Dick is remembered by his family, friends and neighbors as compassionate, steadfast, and a giver of his time and resources.

Visitation is Monday, August 18, 2025 from 10a-12p at the Clark Shields Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Gray will officiate the service beginning at 12p and a private burial will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Blanchard Gun Club to be used for youth day events in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S. Patterson St. Forest, OH 45843.
