Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost’s Consumer Protection Section is receiving complaints of price gouging during the coronavirus pandemic.
Some stores are charging more for items such as surgical masks and toilet paper.
State law bans these sales practices, which could include dramatically increasing the price products solely in response to current events.
Consumers who suspect this kind of practice, should contact the Attorney General’s Office at OhioProtects.org or 1-800-282-0515.
