Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced this (Wednesday) that an Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections officer passed away from the coronavirus.
DeWine said John Dawson, a corrections officer at the Marion Correctional Institution, passed away at the age of 55 from COVID-19.
The Governor said Dawson tested positive for COVID-19 on March 30th and was the second officer to test positive in the Marion facility.
