RV Destroyed by Fire in Wyandot County

A recreational vehicle was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning in Wyandot County.

 

According to a report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, the fire occurred at the US 30 westbound rest area. 

 

When a deputy arrived, the Wyandot East Fire Department was on scene and had already began extinguishing the fire.

 

The owner was identified as Richard Troyer, of Sugarcreek, Ohio, who he began smelling smoke and pulled to the side of the road and noticed flames in the rear of the RV.

 

Troyer said he grabbed his dogs and his bags and got out of the vehicle safely.

 

Danner’s Towing was called to tow the vehicle.
