An employee of CSX Railroad reported an incident to Kenton Police on Wednesday.

 

According to the report, the employee said that someone destroyed two railroad light switches by pulling them up.

 

They then laid them over the rails so that a passing train would hit them.

 

A large piece of concrete was also used to repeatedly hit a small metal sided building that contains electrical equipment.

 

That caused numerous dents and scratches to the building.

 

The incident, which remains under investigation, occurred on the CSX railroad west of the Leighton Street crossing.

A Columbus man and an Athens woman were charged after Kenton Police were dispatched to Walmart Wednesday night.

 

According to the report, officers were called to the store in reference to the theft of merchandise and a male attempting to get into cars.

 

The suspects allegedly pulled a clearance sticker off a $2 item and put it on a $20 item.

 

Officers also seized a box containing drug paraphernalia items.

 

22 year old Charity Rutter was issued a summons for theft.

 

30 year old Robert Conkel was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Bellefontaine man was arrested Wednesday on warrant out of the Kenton Police Department.

 

According to the report, Bellefontaine Police Officers arrested 24 year old Morgan Douglas.

 

He was transported to the Hardin County line and turned over to a Kenton Police Officer.

 

Douglas was then transported to the Multi County Jail in Marion.
