The Sixth annual In-Demand Jobs Week is being held today through this Friday.

This is part of a statewide celebration of jobs, industries, and skills that are in-demand in Ohio.

This year, In-Demand Jobs Week will highlight Ohio’s top jobs that stem from career tech center educations, and the different paths Ohioans can take to land a successful career.

OhioMeansJobs Hardin County kicked off the In-Demand Job celebration early with the Hardin County Job Fair and Career Expo which was held on March 30th at the Hardin County Fairgrounds with 53 employers in attendance.

Annetta Shirk, Business Services Specialist stated that the OhioMeansJobs Center staff works closely with local employers to connect them with residents in need of jobs.

She added that the relationship benefits both employers and employees and she urged Hardin County residents to take advantage of that during In-Demand Jobs Week and all year long.

The Hardin County Republican women are spearheading an effort to sell Hope for Everhart t-shirts as a fundraiser for Sheriff Keith Everhart.

The shirts are being sold for $20, and after costs of the shirts are covered, the remaining amount will be donated to help cover the sheriff’s recent liver transplant surgery.

An emotional Sheriff Everhart told the group at a ceremony to announce the t-shirt sales held this past Friday at the Hardin County Courthouse that he is humbled by and grateful for their efforts.

You can contact the Hardin County Republican Party to purchase a shirt.
