Early Autumn Hike Event Being Held Friday at Champaign County Nature Preserve

Kiser Lake Wetland State Nature Preserve is holding an Early Autumn Hike this Friday September 29.

The hike will start at 6 Friday evening at the Nature Preserve in St. Paris, which is in Champaign County.

You will be able join parks and preserve staff and explore the colors of the fen in early autumn.

This wetland is a remnant of a much larger wetland complex that once extended throughout the Mosquito Creek Valley.

At the end of the hike, you will observe bat monitoring with volunteer Noah Ganson.

If you would like to participate, meet at the parking lot at 3975 Kiser Lake Road in St. Paris.
