Water Main Break in Downtown Kenton Prompts Shut-Off; Boil Advisory Now in Effect

WATER MAIN BREAK HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND A BOIL ALERT IS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS: DETROIT ST. AND MAIN ST., BETWEEN OHIO & NORTH STREETS, CARROL ST., COLUMBUS ST., AND FRANKLIN ST. BETWEEN MARKET & WAYNE STREETS.

Water will be shut off to a section of downtown Kenton.

That is due to a water main that was hit during construction.

The affected area is Detroit and Main Streets between Ohio and North Streets, Carrol Street, Columbus Street and Franklin Street between Market and Wayne Streets.

After the repair, a boil water advisory will be in effect until further notice.
