The City of Kenton and ODOT are conducting a study for the removal of the signal lights on Detroit Street at Carrol and Ohio Streets.
Signal lights will be placed on flashing for 90 days and a study performed to determine any issues that may occur with the removal of the signal lights.
Vehicles traveling on Ohio and Carrol will have flashing red lights and must come to a complete stop. Traffic on Detroit will have flashing yellow and should proceed with caution through the intersection.
“ODOT is coordinating signal upgrades at the Detroit Street intersections of Franklin and Columbus,” said Mayor Webb. “There would be no purpose to update the technology at these two intersections and leave the old lights in place at Ohio and Carrol.”
The study is scheduled to begin Monday, July 29th.
