Construction of Kenton City School‘s new locker room facility is progressing.
The locker room building sits south of the scoreboard at Robinson Field.
Kenton City Schools Superintendent Chad Thrush said the vision for putting the locker room on Columbus Street is they want to keep public parking and opponent bus traffic separate.
The need for a locker room facility comes as the Kenton Middle School, which is the current locker room facility for the opposing teams, is scheduled to be demolished after the opening of the new Middle and High School building next year.
Thrush stated that the new facility will accommodate both home and visiting sports teams, as well as provide space for officials.
The locker room facility is being privately funded and coordinated by the Kenton Athletic Boosters.
