Accident Injures Motorcyclist in Hancock County

An accident in Hancock County on Sunday injured a motorcycle operator.

 

According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, 23 year old Samuel M. Schutte, of Troy, Ohio, was riding the motorcycle east on County Road 212 and failed to yield at a stop sign at County Road 236.

 

The motorcycle struck a southbound pickup, which was pulling a trailer, driven by 28 year old Curtis D. Vanderpool.

 

Schutte was wearing a helmet and was transported to the Blanchard Valley Hospital with serious injuries. 

 

Vanderpool was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

 

The crash remains under investigation.
