Ada Schools Temporarily Offering Free Meals to All Students

Beginning today Ada Schools will be participating in the federal meal program that will temporarily offer free breakfast and lunch to all students. 

This program is expected to run through the end of the calendar year, December 31, 2020. 

The program was extended to all schools as a response to economic concerns brought on for many families by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students who have balances on their accounts will have those balances retained until paid lunches resume. 

Students who were qualified for free and reduced lunches in the last school year and who wish to maintain that status when this program ends, must fill out a free and reduced form by the end of September. 

Forms have been mailed to households who qualified last year.
