Advice Offered for Proper Use of Space Heaters

The American Red Cross offers some advice concerning the proper use of space heaters.

The heaters should be placed on a nonflammable surface and not on rugs.

You should ensure the heaters have an auto shut off feature in case it tips over.

They should be unplugged when you go to bed.
