Alger Man Sentenced on Rape and GSI Charges

An Alger man was sentenced recently on one count each of rape and gross several imposition.

According to documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey’s Office:

.Johnathan D. L. Shrader will serve a minimum of 16 years to maximum of 21 and half years in prison.

He was classified as a Tier III Sex Offender.

Shrader was indicted on the charges in September of 2022.

The case dates back to late October of 2020 when the victim was less than 10 years old.

It continued into January of 2022, with the victim still less than 13.

Also in court, Blake M. Davis was placed on five years community control with conditions on one count of aggravated possession of drugs.

He must serve 60 days local incarceration.

Both cases were heard by Judge Steve Christopher.
