Another High Speed Chase on Tuesday Morning

On Tuesday morning at around 10:15 am, Detectives from the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit were attempting to serve a warrant on a person wanted for a probation violation. While conducting surveillance, detectives observed a person matching the suspect’s description in a vehicle leaving the village of Carey. Detectives then followed the suspect and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect then fled in the vehicle reaching speeds over 100 mph and leading officers on a 20-mile chase.

The suspects in the vehicle began throwing objects out the windows at law enforcement. The suspect entered Hancock County and then began driving through fields, and Hancock County Deputies joined in the pursuit.

The suspect’s vehicle became disabled from driving over fences and through ditches coming to a stop in a standing field of corn in Ridge Township of Wyandot County.

The suspect and a female passenger ran from deputies through the corn field. K9 Unites from both Hancock and Wyandot county were deployed and both subjects were located in the corn field.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Joseph J. Tuttle age 35 of Findlay and the passenger was his spouse, Jenilee J. Tuttle age 40 also of Findlay.

Both were booked into the Wyandot County jail, Joseph on a probation warrant. And Jenilee on felony charges. Additional felony criminal charges are pending per review of the Wyandot County Prosecutor’s officer
