Arlington Man Arrested, Son Being Sought After Domestic Disturbance

An Arlington man was arrested and authorities are still searching for his son after a disturbance Wednesday evening in Hancock County.

 

Deputies from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to County Road 8 to investigate a domestic violence situation..

 

Upon arrival, Dean Lauck allegedly fired a weapon and gunfire was exchanged between him and the deputies.

 

Lauck was arrested on a charge of felonious assault.

 

There were no injuries. 

 

Deputies are also attempting to locate his son Jace Lauck in connection to the domestic violence investigation.

 

Deputies tracked his phone to a residence in the 300 block of West Franklin Street in Wharton and sought assistance from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office in trying to locate him.

 

A resident there gave permission for deputies to search the house, but he was not located.

 

An aerial search conducted by the Ohio State Patrol was also conducted.

 

The search was called off early this morning, and the suspect is still being sought on a domestic violence charge.
